I think Takeru is faking the hypnotism thing, I also believe Ayumu told her that Takeru was his friends name with the elaborate scheme to get her to call Takeru by his first name, since thats the only name she knew him by, and then Ayumu used that as a plot to call it unfair and get her to call him by his first name.
